In the framework of several FP7 projects, an expert group on Managed Aquifer Recharge and Soil Aquifer Treatment (MAR-SAT) has been formed in order to cluster all the activities related to MAR-SAT all over Europe.
A kick-off meeting of this group is being organized by Mekorot on September 11th , 2014, in Israel (Crown Plaza Hotel, Israel, to be confirmed) with the following tentative agenda:
9.00: Welcome by Mekorot's CTO
9.10-10.50: Sesslons 1: Head of session: Avi Aharoni
• EU representative (related to MAR and/or relatad to the ETP -European Technology Platform) (10 min.)
• Presentation of different EU projects (DEMOWARE, MARSOL, DEMEAU, Water 4 India, Saph-PanL…..) by the Coordinators: (total - 40-50 min, each 5-10 min)
• Plenary Presentation by Dr. Amir Givati, Israel Water Authority, Head of Research Division (20 min.)
10.50 -11.20: Coffee break
11.20 -13.30: Session 2: Head of Session: Dr. Yossi Guttman. Subject: EU projects MAR- SAT related research results presentation
Different presentations that the abstracts will be sent by representatives of different EU research projects in the MAR-SAT field, conducted the last ten years (Each 15-20 min)*
*. A format for the abstract will be sent by the organizers later on.
13.30 -14.30: Lunch
14.30-16.30: Session 3: Head of Session (TBD):
Round table and discussion for foundation of the EU MAR-SAT (the final name for the forum will be decided during this session) experts group.
16.30 -16.50: Coffee break
16.50- 17.30: Voting for the Management Team of the group and closure of the meeting
A field trip to Shafdan WWTP and recharge basins will take place on September 10th 2014.
